Description

America in Portrait by Redmond Holt offers a nuanced exploration of a nation wrestling with its identity during a time of deep division and uncertainty. The tension between America’s lofty deals and the harsh realities it faces develops through the themes of justice, freedom, and equality, confronting the contradictions that have shaped the nation’s history and the diverse voices and experiences of its people that continue to influence its present.

This collection is a stirring reminder of what it means to be American and what it means to hold on to the values that define the nation, even in times of great uncertainty like those we are living in.

About the Author

Redmond Holt’s writing exudes a depth of humility and sincerity that is truly remarkable. The way he crafts his words shows a keen understanding of human emotions and relationships, a gift not many possess.

He was a devoted family man, born and raised in Limerick, Ireland, who spent much of his life in Slane. He was a loving father to his two sons, Luke and James. Redmond embraced Christianity and became an active member of the Balbriggan Baptist Church in 20025. Sadly, he passed away before the release of his writings.
