ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A retired Civil Servant from a farming stock, whose grandfather left the family farm to take a job at the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, where he worked on the Titanic and won an Employer’s Ballot to sail on the Maiden Voyage, but his wife refused to let him go.
Widely travelled, J.G. has been to most countries in Europe and as a keen reader of Ancient Irish history, he has visited every County in Ireland. He has been writing poetry for many years. These are some from his collection.
