Description

MID ULSTER

UNCENSORED

On the roads, farms and in the small towns of Mid Ulster, ordinary lives became targets.

Mid Ulster Uncensored gathers the testimonies of those who lived through the violence, told in their own words.

Here are daughters searching for memories of their fathers. Wives left to raise children alone. Sisters mourning a brother murdered at Teebane. A woman who survived a devastating bomb attack.

Here, too, are those who served: a soldier who lost who carries an severe injury to this day and yet, returned to duty, a sergeant who survived two ambushes, and a dog handler whose dogs uncovered weapons that could have taken more lives.

For many families, justice has never come. The grief, fear and unanswered questions have endured for decades.

These are deeply personal accounts of people killed, lives changed and families carrying on through loss. Together, they bear witness to the brutality of terrorism and the courage of those who faced it.

These lives were not expendable. Their stories deserve to be heard. No rewriting of history can erase what happened or absolve those responsible.
